Fun in WA and CO

February 25, 2009 · 2 Comments

This past Sunday found Arjuna, Archana (his daughter), and I in Monroe, WA meeting with and speaking with the folks at Cascade Community Church. Arjuna and I met Pastor Nate and Pastor Matthew at the International Church Planting Summit conference in Thailand last November, and it was great to be able to share about Vision Nationals with their church on Sunday.

ThenĀ  Monday found us on a plane to CO where we shared about the ministry with the students of the Pursuit School of Ministry at Mountain Springs Church in Colorado Springs.

Tuesday morning we left CO Springs to drive to my home town of Ridgway where we are meeting with a group of people from my home church in a few hours.

Pray for both Arjuna and I as we are fighting colds. Also pray for this evening when I am speaking to folks from my home church here in town! I am looking forward to sharing about this past year with them!

Mercy Home is Changed by Jesus

Mars Hill has a “Changed by Jesus” blog series in which they share stories of how people’s lives have been changed by Jesus. I sent the Mercy Home video to the guy in charge letting him know he could use it if he wanted to and he said he would! Hooray! I’ll post the link here when it goes up.

Also, Arjuna is coming in two days! Continue praying that we will be able to strengthen relationships and connect with new people, too. I’ll keep you up on what goes down!

Arjuna Coming

We are not terrorists!

We are not terrorists!

These past few weeks find me answering lots of emails! Each time Arjuna comes to the States I pray for weeks in advance that God brings us the right contacts and relationships at the right time. Please pray with me. Scheduling is always a matter of hurry-up-and-wait it seems. Putting the word out to those we know and those we hope to know better and then waiting to see who responds and how God pieces together Arjuna’s schedule. Also, VN has definitely felt the economic crunch. Please pray that God provides the resources we need as a ministry. Thanks!

Also pray for Arjuna as he prepares to travel here. It is tiring to be on the road. Here’s a picture of Arjuna and I in the Minneapolis airport on our way to the Desiring God conference last fall.
